Raku Horse Sconce
This beautiful set of Rakued, horse sconces are created by slicing a pottery vase in half. Then a back is attached to the piece to create the completed sconce. A leather hook is used to hang these sconces on your wall. Optionally, the sconces can be set on a bookcase, counter or window sill.
The "cracks" in the white portion of the sconce are a natural part of the raku process and does not compromise the integrity of the piece.
These pieces were bisque fired at a low temperature and will not hold water. They are not intended to be utilitarian pieces. To care for your pieces, polish lightly with a damp cloth. See "Firing Techniques" for a description of the process.
Sconce size: 6"H X 9.75"W X 4.5" max depth
